Privacy Policy (Di Noodle App)

Last updated: February 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Di Noodle (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Di Noodle mobile app (the “App”) and our supporting services (the “Services”), including Apple Wallet pass features.

If you have questions or requests, contact us at info@dinoodle.com.

1 – Who we are

Di Noodle
2430 Bank Street, Unit 8, Ottawa, ON K1V 0T7
Email: info@dinoodle.com

2 – At a glance

  • You can use the App without connecting a loyalty account.
  • If you connect your loyalty account, we use that information to show your points/rewards and (if you choose) create or update an Apple Wallet pass.
  • If you turn on notifications, we store a device messaging token so we can send you messages and refresh your Wallet pass.
  • We use service providers like Firebase (Google) to operate parts of the Services.
  • The App includes an in-app Delete Account screen (About tab -> Delete Account) with direct links or actions for account/data deletion.

3 – What we collect

3.1 Information you choose to provide

Loyalty account information (Kangaroo Rewards)

If you choose to connect your loyalty account, the App accesses your loyalty data from Kangaroo Rewards (for example: points balance, tier, rewards, and identifiers such as the email address associated with the account and a membership/QR code value). We use this to display your loyalty status and support Wallet pass features.

Tokens stored on your device

To keep your loyalty information up to date, the App stores Kangaroo authentication tokens on your device (for example in secure storage).

3.2 Information collected from your device/app (limited)

We collect basic app and device information to operate the Services, improve reliability, and support features like notifications and Wallet pass updates. This may include:

  • App version/build
  • Device model and operating system version
  • Language/locale
  • Basic “first seen / last seen” timestamps
  • Technical app identifiers needed to operate the Services (for example, an app-install identifier)

3.3 Notifications and Wallet pass update tokens

If you enable notifications or add a pass to Apple Wallet, we may store:

  • Push notification token (for example, a Firebase Cloud Messaging token) to send push notifications.
  • Apple Wallet/PassKit update token (Wallet only) to trigger pass refreshes after something changes (like points).

3.4 Analytics

We may use analytics (for example, Firebase Analytics) to understand how the App is used (such as which screens are viewed and general usage patterns) so we can improve the App.

Some websites shown inside the App (see below) may also use analytics/measurement technologies and cookies. On Apple devices, we request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before enabling tracking-related use of such technologies in the in-app web experience. If you do not allow tracking, we limit cookies to essential only for in-app web views (see “Your choices and rights”).

3.5 Information collected by websites opened in the App

The App may show web pages inside an in-app browser (for example ordering, gift cards, and loyalty sign-in), including pages operated by Di Noodle and third parties such as Lightspeed and Kangaroo Rewards.

Those websites may use cookies or similar technologies and are governed by their own privacy policies. Payments for orders/gift cards are processed by Lightspeed and/or its payment partners, not by the App.

Cookies and tracking on Apple devices: some web pages may present a cookie consent banner. If you choose not to allow tracking on iOS/iPadOS, the App loads in-app web pages in a mode designed to limit cookies to essential only and to avoid persisting website data.

4 – What we don’t collect

  • We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or other files from your device.
  • We do not collect precise location (GPS). Some services may infer approximate location from IP address for analytics/security purposes.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

5 – How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide the features you request (loyalty display, rewards, QR/membership display, Apple Wallet pass creation and updates).
  • Keep loyalty and pass content current (for example, updating points and refreshing a pass).
  • Send notifications if you opt in (announcements, campaigns, and pass refresh notifications).
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse.
  • Operate, debug, and improve the App (including through analytics).

6 – Apple Wallet passes

If you choose to add a Di Noodle pass to Apple Wallet, the pass may include a membership identifier (such as a QR code value) used at the restaurant. To keep the pass up to date, Apple Wallet may register your device with our Services and provide a device identifier and an update token, which we store and use only to deliver pass updates. We do not receive your precise location from Apple Wallet.

7 – When we share information

We share information only as needed to run the App and Services, for example with:

  • Service providers (such as Google Firebase) that help us run the backend, notifications, and analytics.
  • Apple (Apple Wallet / PassKit services for pass registration and pass updates).
  • Kangaroo Rewards (to authenticate and fetch loyalty information when you connect your account).
  • Lightspeed and its partners (for ordering/gift cards when you use their web pages inside the App).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the security of users, the App, or our Services.

8 – Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the App and Services, including for security and troubleshooting. For example:

  • Loyalty/pass-related records are kept while you use those features and may be removed or deactivated when they are no longer needed (for example, if tokens become invalid).
  • Notification tokens are kept while you have notifications enabled (or until they expire/rotate).
  • We may keep limited logs for troubleshooting and security.

You can request deletion (see “Your choices and rights”). When you request deletion, we delete or de-identify data unless we are required to keep it for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting obligations.

9 – Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information (for example, HTTPS in transit and secure storage for sensitive tokens on the device, such as iOS Keychain).

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10 – Your choices and rights

  • Notifications: you can turn notifications on/off in your device settings.
  • Apple Wallet pass: you can remove the pass from Apple Wallet at any time.
  • Tracking permission (iOS/iPadOS): if prompted, you can allow or deny “tracking” permission. If you deny permission, the App limits cookies to essential only in the in-app web experience and avoids persisting website data.
  • Delete account (in app): open About -> Delete Account in the App.
  • Delete Lightspeed Order Anywhere account: from the in-app Delete Account screen, choose Open account page in Order tab, then use Delete my account on the Lightspeed account details page: https://mylightspeed.app/CHMGOQXA/C-ordering/account/account-details.
  • Delete Kangaroo Rewards account/data: submit a deletion request at privacy@kangaroorewards.com and refer to Kangaroo’s policy: https://loyalty.kangaroorewards.com/privacy-policy/.
  • Clear local app data: from About -> Delete Account, you can clear locally stored app and web data on your device.
  • Access / deletion requests with Di Noodle: you can also contact info@dinoodle.com. If you connected loyalty, include the email used for that loyalty account so we can locate related records.

11 – International processing

Our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your location.

12 – Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13 – Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do.
